Knight Transportation, Inc. (KNX) reported net income for the third quarter of $16.6 million or $0.21 per share, compared to $16.6 million or $0.21 per share for the year-ago quarter.
Total revenue for the third quarter rose 4.8% to $237.9 million from $227.1 million a year earlier. Revenue before fuel surcharge increased 5.0% to $192.6 million from $183.4 million last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.22 per share on revenue of $236.07 million for the third quarter.
