Residential property prices in Sweden increased sequentially in the third quarter, data released by Statistics Sweden showed Thursday.
Prices for one- or two-dwelling buildings increased by 2 percent quarter-on-quarter in the third quarter. The average real estate price for a house in Sweden was SEK2.05 million during the quarter.
Quarter-on-quarter increases were reported in fourteen out of the twenty-one counties during the three-month period, with Blekinge, Örebro and Jönköping recording the largest growths.
Compared to the third quarter of 2011, house prices decreased 1 percent during the three months ended September.
In the month of September, house prices remained unchanged from the previous month after rising by 1 percent in August, data showed.
