Urban Outfitters Inc. (URBN) reported EPS of $0.40 for the quarter ended October 31, 2012 after the bell Monday, up from $0.33 in the prior year period. Net sales rose by 14% over the same quarter last year to $693 million. The consensus estimates were for EPS of $0.41 and revenues of 692.38 million. The stock is now down 1.17 on 315K shares.
Urban Outfitters gapped up Monday and climbed for the bulk of the session. Shares finished up by 2.02 at $37.07 and closed challenging the upper end of a 1-month range.
