Kirkland's CEO Robert Alderson To Take Medical Leave Of Absence

Kirkland's Inc. (KIRK) announced that its President and Chief Executive Officer,Robert Alderson, will take a temporary medical leave of absence, effective November 26, 2012.

The company noted that its Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Mike Madden, will assume the additional responsibilities of acting President and Chief Executive Officer in Alderson's absence.

The company said it fully expects Alderson to resume his duties as President and Chief Executive Officer after an approximate 6- to 8-week recovery period from a non-emergency medical procedure.
