Yet another biological treasure - a fish species having no eyes and no scales, has been discovered in Vietnam's Ha Long Bay, which is home to 14 endemic plants and 60 endemic animals.
Named Draconectes narinosus, the blind, scaleless cave fish species is an inch long and typically inhabits fast-flowing rivers where they live under stones and rocks, say Fauna & Flora International's scientists.
The newly discovered fish is not just a new species but a new genus as well, according to Swiss ichthyologist, Maurice Kottelat.
