Eric Clapton and Chris Martin are the latest acts to be added to the line-up for the "12-12-12" Hurricane Sandy benefit at New York City's Madison Square Garden on December 12.

The event will be broadcast live worldwide on 34 TV and online outlets.

The rockers will join Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder, Jon Bon Jovi, Kanye West, Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, Roger Waters, Alicia Keys, the Who and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band at the fundraiser. The Rolling Stones have been invited to perform, but there has been no confirmation of a performance from the rockers.

Proceeds will benefit The Robin Hood Relief Fund, which provides money and materials to local organizations serving those directly affected by the hurricane.
