Comedian Aziz Ansari has come forward as the voice behind the viral Twitter handle that serves as a parody of "Homeland." The comic had been tweeting anonymously with the handle SergeantBrody before he accidentally blew his own cover.
The handle grew in popularity after Aziz retweeted several comments on his own account. He poked fun at the characters on the show, including Brody's daughter Dana. In one tweet he wrote:
"DAD! THE DVR ERASED MY FAVORITE SHOW, AND I THINK ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!" *Cry* *Cry* #EverythingisMyFault #IBetMikesDVRNeverErasesSh*t."
Weary fans had their suspicions confirmed, however, when Ansari mistakenly posted one tweet to his own personal account:
"Oh what the f—! Jess threw out all my CDs!!! Guess all the sh*t is on Spotify, but still . . ." he wrote.
