W. R. Berkley Announces Estimate Of Losses From Storm Sandy - Quick Facts

W. R. Berkley Corp. (WRB: Quote) announced that it expects catastrophe losses attributable to Storm Sandy will be between $40 million and $50 million, before tax. The company said that its loss estimate gives consideration to all currently available reinsurance and is inclusive of reinstatement premiums.

Cisco Systems, Inc., the world's largest computer networking gear maker, said Wednesday after the markets closed that its third quarter profit rose 14.5% from last year, helped by higher sales and a tax benefit.
