Paul McCartney has teamed up with Elvis Costello and Mark Ronson for a new recording that appears on television ads for the late Linda McCartney's food company. The recording is a new version of Paul and Linda's "Heart of the Country," which appeared on Paul's 1971 release Ram.

Linda, an ardent vegetarian and animal rights activist, launched a frozen vegetarian meal company before her death in 1998. The ad will air in the U.K. and will be the company's first ad in more than 15 years.

Costello said: "Linda always talked well and made it seem that you wouldn't be joining a secret weird society by being vegetarian."

The company's website says that Paul and the family remain "very much involved [in the range] and take an active role in every step of the process from creating new products, tweaking recipes, packaging design and photography for the packs."
