QUALCOMM Inc. (QCOM) reported first quarter non-GAAP EPS of $1.26 after the bell Wednesday, which topped the consensus estimate of $1.13. The company expects to report second quarter non-GAAP EPS of $1.10 to $1.18 and between $4.25 and $4.45 for the full year 2013. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $1.10 and $4.32.
QUALCOMM gapped open sharply higher Thursday, but traded in a range throughout the session. The stock finished up by 2.49 at $66.02 on above average volume. QUALCOMM rose above a one-month range and set a 9 1/2 month high.
