Waste services company US Ecology, Inc. (ECOL) said its profit for the fourth quarter slid to $6.1 million or $0.33 per share from $6.7 million or $0.37 per share in the year-ago quarter
Excluding foreign currency translation and business development expenses, adjusted earnings per share was $0.36. On average, two analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings per share of $0.31 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
Total revenue for the quarter rose 21 percent to $50.4 million from $41.6 million in the same quarter last year. Treatment and disposal revenue increased 18% and transportation related revenue increased 39%.
