Agilent Technologies Inc. (A) reported first quarter adjusted net income of $0.63 per share after the close Thursday, which fell short of the consensus estimate of $0.67. The Company expects to report second quarter adjusted EPS of $0.64 to $0.70 and between $2.80 and $3.10 for the full year 2013. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $0.74 and $3.43.
Agilent Technologies gapped open slightly lower Friday and declined throughout the first half of the session. Shares finished down by 2.33 at $42.25 on the highest volume of the year. The stock fell to over a one-month low and slipped beneath its 50-day moving average.
