Ophir Energy Plc (OPHR.L) Tuesday said it has appointed Bill Schrader to the Board, as a non-executive director, effective immediately. Dennis McShane, non-Executive Director of Ophir, has been promoted to Director of Corporate Strategy, an Executive Director role.
Following these appointments, Ron Blakely, Independent non-executive director, will become Senior Independent Non-Executive Director, while Nicholas Smith will takeover McShane's role as Chairman of the Nominations Committee.
Schrader joins Ophir from BP, where he served as country head of Indonesia and Angola. Schrader has also served as president of BP's joint venture in Azerbaijan and COO of TNK-BP in Russia.
Dennis McShane most recently was a Non-Executive Director of Ophir, and previously served as an investment banker with JPMorgan Chase. He is also a founding principal of Midas Resource Partners.
