Volcano Corp. (VOLC) announced after the close Thursday that it now expects to report full year adjusted EPS of $0.08 to $0.11, down from prior expectations of $0.16 to $0.20. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $0.28.
The company also reported fourth quarter net income of $0.04 per share, down from $0.54 per share a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.09.
Volcano gapped open sharply lower Friday, but traded in a range for the majority of the session. The stock closed down by 2.04 at $22.63 on the highest volume of the year. Volcano sank beneath support and set a new low for the year.
