Twenty-six-year-old Ammar Harris has been identified as the prime suspect in last week's shooting that resulted in three deaths and several injuries in Las Vegas.

Police say that Harris, who also goes by the name Ammar Asim Faruq Harris, is considered armed and dangerous.

Harris was arrested last year on charges of kidnapping and sexual assault.

Driving a black SUV, Harris shot and mortally wounded aspiring rapper Kenneth Wayne Cherry Jr. while the latter was driving a Maserati. The sports car then plowed into a taxi cab containing driver Michael Boldon and passenger Sandra Sutton-Wasmund - resulted in a large fireball that killed both occupants.

In all, six vehicles were drawn into the crash.

Harris' SUV was located on Saturday a few blocks from the scene of the crime, which happened near the Bellagio and Caersars Palace.

Police said that Cherry had no record of arrests.
