UNS Energy Corp. (UNS) reported that its fourth-quarter net income decreased to $7.51 million or $0.18 per share from $8.19 million or $0.22 per share last year. Total operating revenues increased to $348.27 million from $333.83 million last year.
On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.16 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude speical items. Analysts expected revenue of $330.05 million for the quarter.
UNS Energy's Board declared a first-quarter dividend of 43.5 cents per share. The company said the dividend will be paid on March 25, 2013, to common shareholders of record as of March 13, 2013. The board reiterated their long-term targeted dividend payout ratio range of 60 percent to 70 percent of UNS Energy's net income.
