Japan Capex Falls 8.7% On Year In Q4

Capital Expenditure in Japan was down 8.7 percent on year in the fourth quarter of 2012, the Ministry of Finance said Friday.

That missed expectations for a contraction of 7.2 percent following the 2.2 percent annual increase in the previous three months.

Excluding software, capital expenditures were down 7.2 percent on year - also missing forecasts for a decline of 6.5 percent following the 2.4 percent gain in Q3.
