Kentz Corporation Ltd. (KENZ.L), the holding company of the Kentz engineering and construction group, announced the award of a telecommunications contract for the Fort Hills Oil Sands Project in Canada.
Kentz Canada Ltd. would be the main telecom contractor for the project. The scope includes engineering and procurement services for the temporary and permanent information technology infrastructures. This is a multi-year contract and the project would be executed out of Kentz's Calgary engineering centre of excellence, Alberta, one of five regional centres.
The Fort Hills Oil Sands Project is owned by Suncor Energy, Total E&P Canada Ltd. and Teck Resources Ltd. through a limited partnership and is operated by Suncor Energy Operating Inc.
