Kohl's Department Stores (KSS) reported the grand openings of nine new stores today, creating nearly 950 jobs nationwide and bringing its store count to 1,155 stores across 49 states. The nine locations opening today include Decatur, Ala., Danville, Ill., Ames, Iowa, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Minot, N.D., Sherwood, Ore., Hermitage, Pa., Spring Township, Pa. and Denton, Texas.
The company noted, "As Kohl's continues to grow, investing in our stores remains a priority," said Kevin Mansell, Kohl's chairman, president and chief executive officer. "We are pleased to open nine new locations today and have plans to remodel 30 locations this year."
