SkyWest, Inc. (SKYW) Friday reported a 1.8 percent rise in traffic for the month of February, while capacity declined by 1.3 percent. Passenger boardings for the month also increased 2.4 percent from last year.
Traffic, measured in Revenue Passenger Miles or RPMs, increased to 2.19 billion from 2.15 billion last year.
Capacity, measured in Available Seat Miles or ASMs, totaled 2.79 billion, compared to 2.83 billion in the same month last year.
Load factor for the month of February improved 2.4 points to 78.5 percent from 76.1 percent last year.
