Tina Turner appears on the cover of the April edition of Vogue Germany, making her, at 73, the oldest person to ever appear on the cover of the mag.
"Simply the Best," reads the cover copy, on which Turner stuns in a blue silk gown by Armani. Meryl Streep, who appeared on the U.S. edition of Vogue last year, at the age of 62, previously held the record for oldest celeb to cover the magazine.
Turner is currently recording the follow-up to her 2011 album, Children Beyond, in Switzerland, where she was recently granted citizenship.
She has resided in Kuesnacht, a Zurich suburb, since 1995, and according to a Swiss report, the government has granted the 73-year-old, and native of Nutbush, Tennessee citizenship.
"I'm very happy in Switzerland and I feel at home here . . . I cannot imagine a better place to live," Turner said in Blick, a German newspaper.
