European Economics Preview: French Industrial Output Data Due

Industrial production from France is the major data due on Wednesday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 2.45 am ET, the French statistical office is slated to release industrial production data for February. Production is forecast to grow 0.2 percent month-on-month, reversing a 1.2 percent fall in January. Manufacturing output is also expected to grow by 0.2 percent.

At 3.00 am ET, Spain's statistical office INE is scheduled to issue industrial output figures for February. Economists forecast output to fall 4.9 percent annually after easing 5 percent a month ago.

Half an hour later, Swedish industrial production and orders are due. Industrial output is forecast to grow 1 percent month-on-month, partially offsetting a 2 percent drop in January.

Italy's industrial output is due at 4.00 am ET. Economists expect output to ease 0.5 percent on a monthly basis in February, after rising 0.8 percent in January.

In the meantime, Norway's consumer and producer prices are due. Annual inflation is forecast to rise to 1.3 percent in March from 1 percent in February.
