Manhattan Associates Inc. (MANH) posted first-quarter GAAP net income of $13.36 million or $0.68 per share, compared to $11.40 million or $0.55 per share in the comparable quarter last year.
Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $14.59 million or $0.74 per share, up from $12.47 million or $0.60 per share in the year-ago period. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.68 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenue for the latest first quarter was $96.60 million, compared to $91.48 million in the previous year quarter, while three analysts had consensus revenue estimate of $97.85 million for the quarter.
For fiscal 2013, the company anticipates GAAP earnings in the range of $2.91 -$2.97 per share, adjusted earnings of $3.21 - $3.27 per share, and total revenue of $410 million - $415 million. Analysts expect the company to report earnings of $3.18 per share on revenues of $412.89 million for fiscal 2013.
Earlier, the company expected GAAP earnings in the range of $2.85 to $2.91 per share and adjusted earnings of $3.15 to $3.21 per share.
