iRobot Corp. (IRBT) reported first quarter net income of $0.29 per share after the close Tuesday, compared to $0.02 per share in the prior year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.18. The company expects to report second quarter EPS of $0.15 to $0.20 and between $0.80 and $1.00 for the full year 2013. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $0.11 and $0.79.
iRobot gapped up sharply higher Wednesday and has continued to rise in early trade. The stock is now up 3.45 at $28.11 and has broken out to a new high for the year.
