Retail sales in Finland increased in March, a flash estimate published by Statistics Finland showed Thursday.
Retail trade turnover increased 0.3 percent year-on-year in March, following a 0.5 percent gain in February.
The volume of retail sales, from which the impact of prices has been eliminated, declined 0.9 percent over the same time period.
The development in sales was mainly due to Easter being in March this year, while last year it was in April, the statistical office said.
In daily consumer goods trade, sales grew 4.1 percent in March annually and the volume of sales went up by 0.3 percent.
