Brink's Posts GAAP Loss In Q1 - Quick Facts

The Brink's Co. (BCO) reported first-quarter GAAP net loss attributable to the company of $16.6 million, or $0.34 per share, compared with a $17.0 million, or $0.35 per share profit a year ago. Earnings per share from continuing operations plummeted to $0.04 this quarter, from $0.43 last year.

On a non-GAAP basis, quarterly earnings from continuing operations amounted to $0.35 per share. On average, 3 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of $0.30 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

On a GAAP basis, revenues went up 4% to $977 million, from $941 million, with non-GAAP revenues rising to $974 million, from $937 million last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $966.55 million for the quarter.
