Cerner Corp. (CERN) reported first quarter adjusted EPS of $0.66 after the bell Thursday, up from $0.54 a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.63. The company expects to report second quarter EPS of $0.66 to $0.68 and between $2.78 and $2.83 for the full year 2013. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $0.68 and $2.80.
Cerner gapped open sharply higher Friday and is now up 5.26 at $96.92. The stock has risen above a month and a half long range and has set a new high for the year.
