Don Henley has new solo album in the works, his first in 13 years. The Eagles drummer says the album, Cass County, is all about exploring his roots.

"That's the name of the rural county I come from in northeast Texas," Henley explained of the title to JAM! Music.

"The material on it is a reflection of a part of my musical foundation — songs I heard on the radio and on my parents' record player in the '50s and '60s. It's not exactly a 'retro' album, but neither does it reflect much of what's going on in 'modern' music."

While the album isn't due out until September, Henley fans can catch him on the road this summer with the Eagles, who will be supporting their new DVD, The History of the Eagles.
