Boston And Aerosmith To Perform At Boston Benefit Show

Boston and Aerosmith have both signed on to headline the "Boston Strong: an Evening of Support and Celebration" benefit concert, which will take place at the TD Garden in Boston on May 30.

The event's purpose is to help those affected by the tragic bombings that took place last month at the Boston Marathon. All the proceeds from the night will be given to One Fund, which was created in the wake of the tragedy.

Other groups partaking in the event that have connections to Boston include the J. Geils Band, Extreme, Godsmack, James Taylor and New Kids on the Block.

There will also be performances from comedians Dane Cook and Steven Wright, who are both from Boston. Artists who are playing during the night, although are not associated with the Boston area, are Carole King, Jason Aldean and Jimmy Buffett.

Tickets for the event will be made available on Monday, May 6 at 10 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster.
