Guns N' Roses are nearly finished with their new album, according to guitarist Richard Fortus, who unveiled news of the follow-up to 2008's Chinese Democracy to Noise11.

The band has reportedly completed a number of songs for the new album during a recent studio visit. However, Fortus did say that the album probably wouldn't be released this year, but maybe during 2014.

There's no official word on how many songs the band has completed, or how many will appear on the yet-to-be-titled album.

If GNR does indeed release a new album next year, it will be their sixth studio album overall. The band went 15 years between Chinese Democracy and their 1993 punk rock cover album The Spaghetti Incident?.
