Carlos Santana was inducted into the House of Blues Las Vegas' Blues God Ceiling last week. The ceiling, which features clay busts of several blues greats, will now include the bust of Santana.
Santana paid tribute to those who influenced him and who had already gotten the same honor, including Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page and Janis Joplin.
The guitar great is currently in the midst of a HOB Vegas residency. His next show is May 22, and he follows with seven shows that will take him through early June.
On June 4, he takes his Sentient tour to Europe before returning to Vegas for one run in September and another in November.
For the Vegas runs, Santana is playing his Greatest Hits Live - Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow set.
