Japan Domestic Corporate Goods Prices +0.3%

An index measuring the prices of domestic corporate goods in Japan was up 0.3 percent on month in April, the Bank of Japan said on Tuesday, standing at 101.4.

That beat forecasts for an increase of 0.1 percent, which would have been unchanged from the March reading.

On a yearly basis, prices were flat versus expectations for a decline of 0.2 percent following the 0.5 percent contraction in the previous month.

Export prices were down 1.2 percent on month and 2.9 percent on year, while import prices dipped 1.0 percent on month and 4.5 percent on year.
