Donovan has announced a new album, Shadows of Blue, set for release on May 31. The folk-rocker announced the news on his Facebook page on May 10, his 67th birthday:
"I have made a new album in Nashville, Shadows Of Blue. You can all get a free listen to the first single 'To Love You' on my birthday May 10. It's my gift to you."
"To Love You," the lead single, is currently streaming on SoundCloud freely. Another track, "The Harmonica Girl," hits on May 17 along with the rest of the album, streaming freely.
Donovan also has three North American tour dates set for this fall: October 6 at Washington D.C.'s The Hamilton, October 19 at NYC's the Ethical Cultural Hall and October 28 at Los Angeles' El Rey Theatre.
