Mayflower Bancorp Inc. (MFLR) announced after the close Tuesday that it agreed to be acquired by Independent Bank Corp. (INDB) for approximately $37.2 million.
Mayflower Bancorp has gapped open dramatically higher Wednesday and is now up 6.96 at $17.63 on the highest volume of the year. The stock has leaped to a new high for the year.
