R. Kelly may have something different planned for his fans — an album of country music. He didn't confirm an LP but did tell Vibe magazine that he's been working in that genre.

"I've really been writing a lot of country songs," he said. "I used to get criticized for doing a 'Bump & Grind' then turning around and doing a gospel song. But the truth is I'm glad I have a gift that allows me to switch lanes."

He added that his musical abilities stretch far beyond what his fans may believe.

"My talent is more than just sexual songs," he said. "There was a time I desperately needed for the world to know that I was no category guy. My whole goal in life was to reach that certain success where people will say, 'Hey, that guy can do anything. He's the Evil Knievel of music. He's jumping over 15 buses!"

Kellz did not, however, reveal any specifics in the interview.
