Reps for the hit BBC drama Downton Abbey have denied Diddy's claim that he has joined the cast as a series regular. The rapper has been talking up his participation on the show in a series of tweets that started on May 15.
"MY BIG NEWS: So happy to announce that Im a series regular on DOWNTON ABBEY - my favorite show+i'll be debuting a sneak peek tonight 12am PST!" read the first tweet.
He followed that with a series of other teasing tweets:
"How many of y'all out there are Downton Abbey fans? I'm going to be making a big announcement in the next hour-im excited for yall to hear!"
He later added: "I have to admit that Downton Abbey is one of my favorite shows- and thats why Im so excited today @DowntonAbbey".
The tweets turned out to be a plug for Diddy's recent parody of the show on FunnyOrDie.com.
