A 22-year-old Chicago man was arrested after allegedly trying to swim up to Taylor Swift's new Rhode Island home. The incident happened around 2 am Wednesday. The unnamed man was then taken into custody and charged with trespassing after admitting his plan to police.

TMZ reports that the accused says he swam one mile to a beach near Swift's home, spotted her security team and decided to swim back to where he came from. He claims that that is when he was discovered and subsequently approached by police.

It's not clear whether Swift was at home at the time of the incident.

The home is a new one for Taylor, as she purchased the 11,000 square-foot manse last month for $17 mil. It has eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, in addition to eight fireplaces.
