The U.S. dollar resumed gains against European major currencies in early New York deals on Friday.
The greenback approached 2-day highs of 1.5195 against the pound and 0.9730 against the franc, compared to Thursday's close of 1.5268 and 0.9646, respectively.
The greenback strengthened to 1.2810 against the euro, its highest since April 4.
