Paul Stanley Says He Doesn't Care About Rock Hall Snub

KISS guitarist Paul Stanley says he doesn't mind that the band has not been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Speaking with the Huffington Post, Stanley said he doesn't put much credence in the Rock Hall's opinion of great rock music.

"Look, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is marketing," he said. "You've got a bunch of faceless people in a back room who trademark a name that sounds very official. Well, if you had thought of it first, you would have been the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."

He added that unlike some similarly minded rockers, however, he would accept the award if it was offered:

"I would certainly accept on [KISS fans'] behalf because it seems to be a major sore spot for them, but I don't need the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame," Stanley said.
