Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington joined the Stone Temple Pilots onstage at the 2013 KROQ Weenie Roast in Irvine, California for a new song, "Out of Time." The band has released a streaming version of the track to SoundCloud.

In addition to the new song, the Bennington-led Pilots performed a handful of STP classics, closing the set with "Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart."

"Chester has a one-of-a-kind voice that we've admired for a long time. We know Linkin Park will always be his priority, but we thought it would be cool to try something together. We managed to find the time to record a song and we're all really happy with the result," guitarist Dean DeLeo told KROQ.

Bennington added that he's been a fan of STP since the age of 13: "When the opportunity came up to do something creative with them, I jumped at the chance," he said.
