New Zealand's Credit Card Spending Increases In April

New Zealand's credit card spending increased in April, recovering from a decline in the previous month, the latest data released by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand showed Tuesday.

Card spending rose 0.4 percent month-on-month in April following a 0.3 percent fall in the preceding month. Year-on-year, spending rose 4 percent.

Domestic billings on New Zealand issued cards rose 0.2 percent on a monthly basis, while overseas billings on domestically issued cards increased 1.2 percent.
