Park rangers at Yosemite National Park are searching for a teenager that was swept over a waterfall that's almost 600 feet tall over the weekend.
CNN reports that Aleh Kalman, 19, from Sacramento, California was swimming approximately 150 feet away from the edge of the waterfall when he got caught up in the current and went over.
"We believe it's impossible to survive a fall like that," said park spokeswoman.
While swimming in that area is not considered illegal in the park, it is considered to be quite dangerous.
On Saturday, search and rescue teams were scouring the premises on foot while a helicopter crew from the California Highway Patrol attempted to locate Kalman. They had to stop their search once it got dark.
Park officials are saying the river was moving at approximately 500 cubic feet per second at the time of the incident.
