AMR May Traffic Up 0.8%

AMR Corp. (AAMRQ.PK) on Friday reported May consolidated revenue and traffic results for its principal subsidiary, American Airlines, Inc., and its wholly owned subsidiary, AMR Eagle Holding Corp.

Consolidated traffic for May increased 0.8% year-over-year to 11.97 billion revenue passenger miles, while consolidated capacity grew 0.3% to 14.26 billion available seat miles.

As a results, consolidated load factor for May 2013 was 84.0%, up from 83.5% in May 2012.

May's consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile was lower by an estimated 1.8% compared to the same period last year, the company said.
