Megan Hilty will reportedly join her former "Smash" co-star Sean Hayes on his new comedy series "Sean Saves the World." Hayes will play the titular lead role as a single father attempting to balance a busy work life with fatherhood. According to TVLine, Hilty will appear as Liz, the best friend of Hayes' co-worker.
It will be a recurring role for Hilty, who is best known for playing Ivy Lynn on "Smash." She and Hayes squared off on the Broadway-inspired drama, with Hayes appearing as a Hollywood star named Terrence Falls. The pair started out as bitter rivals in the show but developed a kinship over the course of their arc together.
In addition to her work in "Smash" Hilty has been busy racking up some real-world Broadway credits including "Wicked" and "9 to 5." Next up for the actress is a staged reading of a new Broadway production of the play "Can-Can."
