A man suspected of robbing a bank in Pennsylvania fatally shot a customer that was chasing after him on Sunday at a supermarket.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Vincent M. Kelley, 46, was grocery shopping with his friend and followed the alleged robber outside to his car. Kelley tried to subdue the man, but instead was shot several times. The alleged robber quickly drove away.
"We were in Giant Eagle and we were right in front of the bank and I saw the guy walk in. He had his umbrella open in the store and it caught my attention because it was suspicious," said Kelley's friend, Jared Cameron to local television station KDKA. "The guy pulled the gun on him, but he didn't even stop, didn't even hesitate. He just kept going straight at him. The guy hopped in the car and Vinny hopped in the back seat and they were wrestling around a little bit. The guy reached over the seat with his gun and pulled the trigger six times."
The suspect is still at large, with an investigation underway.
