Dutch supermarket chain Koninklijke Ahold NV (AHONY.PK,AHODF.PK) announced a new Executive Committee or ExCo leadership structure, which would enable the company to accelerate its Reshaping Retail strategy, as well as simplify the company's governance structure and decision-making process, and ensure that Ahold's business and functional leaders are represented at the highest level.
Hanneke Faber would be appointed as Ahold's Chief Commercial Officer or CCO, also becoming a part of the seven-strong Executive Committee. Faber, reporting to CEO Dick Boer, joins from Procter & Gamble, where she served in various senior general management and marketing roles in the U.S., Switzerland, Greece and the Netherlands. In her new role as CCO, Hanneke would lead all global online and customer loyalty initiatives.
The other members of the Executive Committee are: Chief Executive Dick Boer, Chief Financial Officer Jeff Carr, Chief Corporate Governance Counsel Lodewijk Hijmans van den Bergh, Chief Operating Officer Ahold USA James McCann, Chief Operating Officer Ahold Europe Sander van der Laan. The Executive Committee members would officially take up their roles starting September 1, 2013.
