Mariah Carey has confirmed that her forthcoming album will be titled The Art of Letting Go. The LP follows her 2010 release, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and is set for release on July 23.
"The Art of Letting Go. The new album will be available for all the lambs on July 23," wrote producer Jermaine Dupri on his website, announcing the title.
The Art of Letting Go finds Mimi collaborating with a host of R&B's heaviest hitters including Bryan-Michael Cox, Big Jim Wright, Hit-Boy, The-Dream, Mike WiLL Made It, and Rodney Jerkins. She has already released the first single, "#Beautiful," featuring Miguel.
"#Beautiful" has already hit number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Mariah is seemingly starting a new chapter in her career with the release, as she tweeted: "The New Era Begins . . 7/23 #MC723."
