Sarepta Therapeutics Inc. (SRPT) announced Wednesday morning that results at 84 weeks from its Phase IIb open-label extension study of eteplirsen, in patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, showed a continued stabilization of walking ability in eteplirsen-treated patients evaluable on the 6-minute walk test.
Sarepta Therapeutics gapped open sharply higher Wednesday and is now up 1.71 at $39.86. The stock is now challenging resistance, trading at nearly a 3-week high.
