Florida's Daytona Speedway will break ground on a $375 million renovation project this month. The facelift will bring changes to the front stretch grandstand at the historic track and is scheduled for completion in 2016, reports the Orlando Sentinel.

The hefty price tag was reported scaled back from $475 million after the a proposed $100 million subsidy from the state fell through. Speedway President Joie Chitwood III issued an official statement about the renovation saying:

"Everything about the race experience, from seating to concessions to merchandise to conveniences, will be reimagined to create the world's first true motorsports entertainment complex," he explained.

According to the Sentinel some of the changes will include wider and more comfortable seating and expanded front stretch sections to offer more affordable options.
