Abercrombie & Fitch has pulled its controversial Taylor Swift t-shirt from shelves after encountering a wave of backlash from her loyal supporters. "#more boyfriends than t.s.," read the snarky tee.
Buzzfeed reports that Swift's fans started a petition on Change.org asking Abercrombie to remove the shirt. Another fan posted a YouTube video urging Swift's followers to call the company and protest.
"Hey #swifties we no longer sell the tshirt. We <3 Taylor's music and think she's awesome!" wrote the penitent company on its Twitter page after pulling the item.
The company was also apparently bombarded with phone calls on its customer service line, as it now features a custom response:
"If you are calling regarding the Taylor Swift T-shirt, please note that this item is no longer available."
